27.5 miles per gallon

well my trip has taken me back to north Florida so I am back in Jacksonville. My hope is to not stay here too long and get the funding to move on rather quickly. I may try and start writing a lil more soon while I have the chance, I have just been not really writing lately. I will mindmap and get some topics together and will have a nice post next week. I may also post on the trouble I had getting os X  on my HP. well that is all for now peace

well not to much to say really, still in G-ville and looking for work. will make a better post later

12:45 got on the first bus of the first major trip of my life. leaving St. Augustine and heading to Gainsville FL. the first hour of the bus trip was uneventful as most of the sites I have already seen  in day to day travel. That means I will not bore you with a drone of the trees. I will say thou that I was listining to DJ Spyhunter’s powder breaks.

As we made our way to the bus station in Daytona the urban explorer in me saw a building and the first thout was “uuuu pretty”. When the building did not stop I thougth evan more how I wanted to have the time to look around inside the building, when I saw the sign that said AT&T I knew why I wanted to be in that building. In the time we spen in this stop I had witness to a man praying to Mecca, it was a wonderis and beautiful site. Needless to say I was touched deeply by this show of devotion to ones religion. before leaving the daytona station heading to Orlando this man was on my bus, I shook his hand and said “respect”.

In Orlando I had a 3+ hr wait for the next bus I changed to anothe DJ Spyhunter track on my Zune and watched the scenery pass by. on the open road you see the trees but as you come in to the citys you see the architectur new and old. in the hour that each leg has taken me I have seen some things that could only be described as beautyful. pulling off the highway and onto Colnial Dr. in orlando I perked up I knew where I was. I stated to another passanger that I used to buy some of my records right down the road. looking around the sights of this main road in Orlando showed me what I like about big citys but that is not the only reson I travel. I travel for me and me alone. I travel to see the sights that otherwise I may never see.
when I finnaly arived in orlando I walked through the bus station and had a smoke. standing outside and talking to an older man I see the poverty that can ride the bus and I feel sorry for them. finishing my smoke and heading inside to find a place to sit I start chatting with a  designer named Dan we talked about design and graphic work.I was much inspiered from his and my talk. all to soon his bus was loading and he had to leave. I still had about 2 and a half hours to wait for my connecting bus to leave so I started to walk around and have short conversations with many people.  I was able to grab two seats and spread out a little bit but when a new passanger boarded I moved over as to let her sit down.
she and I had a littlebit of small talk and she decided to take a nap.

After about an hour we hit Ocala where a few people departed and the lady sharing my seat moved as to let me spread back out. 20 minutes later we stoped at a reststop, grabed a quick bite to eat, and a smoke. and after about another hour we finally made it to Gainsville.
all I can say is that for my first experiance on a Greyhound was pretty intresting. As of right now I am typeing this at a starbucks at 11:16 at night reflecting on my experiance and all the more knowing why I am doing this trip. I know that this is just another experiance that is now added to my book and it reminds me that it was worth it…

Well today is the DAY I leave to start my trip and a lifetime of adventure.

Primes is to make as much of life as I can and to never stop learning, exploring, or doing what I love. Leg one of my trip is from St. Augustine FL. going to Gainsville FL. I will be spending time there for a few weeks then I will head up to NJ. as I can I will be doing site updates and designing the site better, as well as hacking a Google maps in to here. I will hopefully have parts of the trip photo documented as well. peace and love to all.

UPDATE: I made it to Gainsville I will have to finish writing the diatrob and edit it tonight so I will post it tomarrow

not much to say other than I have been with out web for a few days as well as getting ready to head out on my adventure. first stop Miami then to the Tampa area and then I am off to New Jersey. I will try and keep a journal on DVNT confessions and try and keep this site up to date. im still feeling out all the potintial I can make this. happy labor day in advance.

On any given day I have hundreds of Items come through my Google reader, their are those items that I look at and move on and then their are those that I keep around for days before I finally them and move them from being unread. this post from Zen Habits is one of those, on their site the other day they posted 5 inspirational videos. I have found in listening to minds greater than myself a wealth of information. Every day it seems like some times I find more and more to add to my personal phlosiphy, some times these tid bits I pick-up just morph some of my previous ideals in to something more. I look at these videos and I get inspired, like Steve Jobs saying “stay hungry, stay foolish”. Then i get inspiration from the late Randy Pausch with “The brick wall is their to see how bad you want something”. I suggest that you head over to Zen habits and check out their blog, lots of yummy information and inspiration for all of life.

OK so I keep lacking on this and lacking on this well I need to stop. I am enacting a posting schedule for my now 2 blogs this and dvntconfessions.com . for right now the posting for here will be on Mondays and over their on Tuesdays in time over the next few months I will hopefully start a more frequent schedule. As well as the poetry from here will move/be posted in 2 locations and that will be the primary spot for it from now on.

some things that happened over the weekend was the spaceX.com 3rd launch which did fail to make orbit. SpaceX has said on their blog that this will not set back plans for the dragon capsule or the falcon9 space shuttle. I hope them all the best in their next launch attempt.

So until next Monday that is this weeks update. Peace

I ask for forgiveness this post is well over a week over due. had some personal issues come up.

At 800 hours several IED’s exploded in Anytown, USA. we have an unknown victim count and we know that the hospital has a radiation leak from the radiology department. We know that the hospital is but one target, the first bank as well as the parking garage. I do not need to tell you how bad this may be…

This is how our scenario opened, as presented to us by the CERFP commander Maj. Mike Ladd. CERFP stands for Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) - Enhanced Response Force Package. This unit of guardsman is made up of not only Army National Guard but as well as the medical corps of the Air National Guard

I arrived at Camp Blanding early Friday morning and just prepared myself for the day. One by one the other victims arrived at the meeting place. We all made our way inside and grabbed coffee, water, and/or a muffin to eat. at about 6:30 AM we started the moulage. This is the process of make-up to look like radiation burns, head injuries, or any various other things to make us look injured. Following this at around 8:00AM we were taken by bus to the disaster site.

When we got to the disaster site we were given a tour to show what was where and some of us were assigned to some areas off the bat. I volunteered to be hoisted and dropped over a ledge in a stokes basket from a second story building. various others were lowered from baskets or harnesses. On the other sites some were pulled up from underground or pulled from other rubble.

One of the best things other than the experience to help my local natl, guard unit in training was knowing that they were doing this training for the future. They are prepared for what ever can be thrown at them, in the face of any adversity. The national guard is constantly training to make sure they can rise to any new challenge that an enemy can throw at them. I have the up most respect for these men and women of the guard. I know from the few hours that I spent with them on this day that if any thing were to happen in the state of Florida they would be there and their metal will show.

I is truly amazing what can be shown through a motion picture. I hope you take from the title that I just got done watching this very powerful movie. It inspirer’s a deep sence  of gratitude for the nature around you and the joys of the world. I know I am young and most people see me as this way, but this does not negate the fact that every day I look for the beauty in the world around me. This is a joy that I one day hope to share with other people.

I really hope all people see this movie. I leave you with a short post today and it is this, live like you were dying. Make every moment of your life count because when you look back all you will see are those moments. I know that their will be bad times as well as good, and those times make your moments remember only the best.
